I chose to photograph flowers because of their natural beauty and large variety. Walking around the Michigan Campus, I came across several different breeds of flowers. My main focus for my project was to illustrate color. I chose bright flowers with eyecatching colors. I used the macro setting on my camera as well as the exposure settings. I used a techinique called depth of field which allows the main focus of the picture to be on the flower and not the background.
My influence is the curiosity I have for these flowers. The colors and shape are so beautiful. Another influence is my grandfather. Who used to photograph many different settings from lights to birds. I have some of his work displayed in my house.
